1. I draw 5 original things about China, they are China Knots and Four great inventions( compass, paper-making, movable type printing press and gunpowder).
China Knots have lot of meanings, in China new year, people will hang up it( on door or three)
The four great inventions are very important for this world, from they got invented until now, people still using them (for few thousand years). The China Knots and Four great inventions are heritage, and they more than like heritage, they are culture.
2. In Chinese, 'knot' means reunion, friendliness, peace, warmth, marriage, love, etc. Chinese knots are often used to express good wishes, including happiness, prosperity, love and the absence of evil. For the four great inventions they have lots of stories about. for those meaning, I think just people need those thing to help them doing things more flexible. Lots of people don't know The four great inventions and the China knots, I draw those because I want more people know about it, to realize our culture.
3: First, I spend time to draw a draft and 6 sketches, just to make sure I don't mix up. I draw the outline, then I used little water color for the back round. And for the China knot I used painting color, and some water, I made the end of knot, It looks light (from left to right). And I put The four great inventions close to each conners.to the end I used paper to absorb water (when it haven't dry yet).
